Accessibility Audit Tool

Welcome! At the end of this page you’ll find a link to the Accessibility Audit Tool. Once you’ve read some of the following background information, you can click the link and start the process of auditing your space. We’ve designed it to be as easy and as accessible as possible.

Before you get started, we’d like to give you some information about the tool to determine if it suits your needs.

Accessibility

We’ve created the site and tool to be easy to use because we want the audit process to be accessible to as many people as possible. To that end, the site is designed to be compatible with various types of assistive software like screen readers, magnifiers and speech recognition software. The colour scheme, fonts, layout, and language are also designed to be easy to understand and navigate.

We also want to guide you through the audit process so you can successfully conduct an audit of your space; whether it’s as simple as the entrance to your home or as complex as an entire school. To that end we’ve created videos that show you how to use the online tool and how to take measurements in the various areas of your home or building. You’ll see these on the next page.
