Inclusion Grants Funding – Newfoundland
Inclusion Grants enhance accessibility and inclusion in communities throughout the province. Grants of up to $25,000 are available to non-profit, community-based organizations to make their facilities more accessible through things like installing ramps, accessible washrooms or visual alarms. Grants of up to $5,000 are also available to non-profit, community-based organizations to make their events more inclusive, through things like providing American Sign Language, captioning or listening devices.

Home Modification Program (HMP) – Provincial Administered by NLHC
Home Modification Program (HMP)
Through Newfoundland and Labrador Housing Corporation (NLHC), HMP is designed to provide funding to assist homeowners with low-to-moderate income who require accessibility changes to their residences, to enable individuals to remain in their own homes for a longer period.

About Enabling Accessibility Fund
The Enabling Accessibility Fund (EAF) provides funding for projects that make Canadian communities and workplaces more accessible for persons with disabilities. EAF aims to create more opportunities for persons with disabilities to take part in community activities, programs and services, or to access employment.
Accessible Vehicle Funding
Accessible Vehicle Funding was established to reduce costs associated with disability and provide an accessible transportation option to individuals and families throughout the Province.
The program supports individuals or families to acquire or adapt personal vehicles for accessibility. This could include installation of hand controls or modifying vans to be equipped with lifts and ramps.

Special Assistance Program – Medical equipment and supplies
Medical equipment and supplies as well as adaptive and assistive devices.
Income Support
If you are unemployed, over 18 years of age, and a resident of Newfoundland and Labrador, and not in receipt of other income, like Employment Insurance or Canada Pension Plan, you may qualify for Income Support. In addition to financial supports for basic living expenses, once approved, you may qualify for additional benefits like vision care, prescription drug coverage and municipal taxes support.

Summer Camp Inclusion Grant
The Summer Camp Inclusion Grant provides financial support for a support person to accommodate children with disabilities to attend summer camp.
Capacity Grant
The Capacity Grants are crucial to enable persons with disabilities to become fully engaged in their community and to lead transformative change towards more independence, self-management and genuine community inclusion.
